This Easter, residents across our North London and Enfield care homes came together to enjoy a delightful Hot Cross Bun Tasting Experience – a warm, engaging activity filled with flavour, memories and connection.

A Taste of Easter at Springdene Care Homes

Easter is a special time in our homes, bringing opportunities to celebrate traditions, enjoy seasonal treats and spend time together as a community. This year, our residents were invited to take part in a unique tasting session featuring a variety of hot cross bun flavours.

From classic favourites to more adventurous options such as Berry Blush, St Clements and Belgian Chocolate, residents explored new tastes while enjoying the comforting familiarity of a traditional Easter treat.

Sharing Memories and Building Connections

Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and the tasting session sparked conversations about:

  • Easter traditions
  • Family celebrations
  • Favourite foods from the past

These shared moments help build connections between residents and staff, creating a strong sense of community across our care homes in North London and Enfield.

The activity also supported:

  • Social interaction and companionship

Thoughtful adaptations ensured that all residents could take part, including those living with dementia or those who benefit from one-to-one support. This reflects our commitment to delivering inclusive, person-centred care.
