St Patrick’s Day Celebrations Across Springdene Care Homes
There was plenty of music, laughter and Irish cheer across the Springdene family this St Patrick’s Day as residents, families and staff came together to celebrate with a wonderful programme of entertainment and activities.
Across our homes in North London and Enfield, the day was filled with memorable moments, from energetic Irish dancing performances to beautiful live piano music, delicious food and even a traditional glass of Guinness for those who fancied one.

At Springdene Care Homes, we believe that special occasions create opportunities to bring people together, celebrate different cultures and create meaningful experiences that enrich everyday life.
Music, Dance and Shared Moments
This year’s celebrations were made extra special thanks to some fantastic performers who brought incredible energy and joy to our homes.
Residents were treated to spectacular displays by The Brooks Academy of Irish Dancing, alongside wonderful performances from talented dancers including Ella Brown. The lively routines quickly had audiences clapping along, smiling and even joining in.
Adding to the atmosphere was beautiful live piano music from Virgilius Vaitkus, whose performances created moments of reflection, reminiscence and connection throughout the day.
Whether watching a champion dancer leap across the floor or quietly listening to familiar melodies, residents found countless reasons to smile.
Bringing Communities Together Across North London and Enfield
At Springdene, celebrations are always about more than the event itself. They are about building friendships, strengthening family connections and creating opportunities for residents to enjoy meaningful experiences together.
Our homes in Hampstead, Muswell Hill and Enfield welcomed the sights and sounds of Ireland, with residents sharing stories, chatting about past celebrations and enjoying the company of friends, relatives and staff.
Many family members joined the festivities, helping to create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Springdene such a special place to live.
Delicious Irish-Inspired Treats
No St Patrick’s Day celebration would be complete without some traditional refreshments.
Residents enjoyed a selection of Irish-inspired food throughout the day, and for those who wished, a perfectly poured glass of Guinness helped mark the occasion in true Irish style.
Simple moments like sharing food and raising a glass together help create lasting memories and reinforce the sense of community that sits at the heart of life at Springdene.
Activities That Support Wellbeing
Music and movement play an important role in supporting emotional wellbeing, confidence and social interaction for older people.
Events like St Patrick’s Day encourage residents to engage with one another, reminisce about happy memories and enjoy the uplifting effects of live entertainment.
At Springdene Care Homes, we are passionate about creating varied and engaging activities that help residents continue enjoying life to the fullest, every single day.
