Summer Festival Brings the Enfield Community Together at Springview

Summer at Springview Care Home is always a good excuse to spend time outdoors, welcome families and friends, and enjoy something a little different. This year’s Summer Festival did all of that, with a day that brought residents, relatives, staff and members of the wider Enfield community together.

There was live jazz, an impressive line-up of classic cars, a visit from the London Fire Brigade, creative activities and plenty of good food. The event also had a charitable purpose, raising money for Tower RNLI, whose volunteers joined the festival and shared essential lifesaving skills with visitors.

For residents, it was a chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of a busy summer gathering without having to leave home. For families, it was an opportunity to spend relaxed, sociable time together and be part of life at Springview.

A Summer Festival with Something for Everyone

The festival brought plenty of colour to Springview, with entertainment and activities designed to appeal to different interests.

Classic cars from Whitewebbs Museum of Transport and Barnet Classic Car Club proved particularly eye-catching, creating a wonderful display for residents and visitors to explore.

Cars from different eras can also be great conversation starters. A familiar make, model or shape can prompt stories about first cars, family holidays, driving lessons or journeys from years gone by. Those spontaneous conversations are often every bit as important as the activity itself.

The local London Fire Brigade also joined the celebrations, adding another point of interest for visitors of all ages.

Music in the Summer Air

Live jazz provided the soundtrack to the day, drifting through Springview as residents and guests enjoyed the festival.

Springview’s catering team prepared a BBQ along with a tempting selection of handmade desserts for residents and guests to enjoy.
